Do you listen? This is one thing that many people in relationships fail to do.

He Said: Have you experienced going to lunch or dinner with everyone else looking at his/her cellphone instead of engaging each other in meaningful conversation? One time, in a dinner with friends, one of our friends — a popular lady DJ — confiscated all our phones for 15 minutes so we can talk. What happened next was amazing! We forgot about the time before someone heard his phone ringing and had to answer it. An hour and a half has elapsed by then.

What to do? Start with genuine communication. One talks, the other listens — then vise-versa. Lahat dapat napag-uusapan. Then watch your relationships grow.

She Said: Communication is one of the keys to a successful relationship; not only for husbands and wives, but also in friendships, families, organizations and many more. I personally would want other people to tell me what’s wrong rather than leaving me guessing. So remember, talking and listening go together even if you don’t like what you hear. Assess everything. Don’t react right away, because anything you say can’t be taken back. Most of all, pray before talking to someone and be a good listener.

Let’s make this world a better place to live in. World peace. It may sound funny. Hahahaha. But yes, I really want world peace

To-do this week: Be the person who listens when in a conversation. See what you’ll get to learn.
